D-Day -74

So here we go! Project Enchanted is now rolling and gaining ground as the days come.

The Flight Plan
Project Enchanted is basically the code name that I thought of for the proposal setup that me and my friends are cooking up when my girlfriend comes here for her 3 week vacation. The name was coined from the Disney movie of a real life fairy tale movie. And this is what this project is about, making a fairy tale come to life. This blog will contain everything that we've been cooking since way back, I just got to start writing this one because things are finally starting to take shape.

Project Enchanted basically started ever since this year began. I've been saving up since that time for the day that I'll be professing my lifetime commitment before God, my love and witnesses composed of family and close friends. Let me narrate you what have transpired so far.

The first draft of this project was actually intended to be done in Singapore with some of my friends joining us. This would include her close friends from New Zealand as well. The plan was to actually surprise her in one of the hotel rooms that we'll be staying in. The setup would be done over their Asia trip where I'll meet them in SG. They'll get to visit us in our hotel room and that's where the magic would happen. The alpha design was eventually scrapped as her Asia trip was cancelled due to reasons that will not be disclosed in this blog. And so a plan b had to be drafted as all that we've conjured up to that time was not usable anymore.

Plan B or beta was birthed as my girlfriend told me that she'll be heading over to the Philippines instead since her 3 week leave for her Asia trip was already approved. Palawan was seen as the ground zero or what we'll call Site-B for Project Enchanted. As soon as this plan was hatched me and my friends decided to get on and meet to get beta rolling.

Good thing was, Manila had a 4 day long weekend that allowed us to take a day to head out of town and brainstorm for beta. We ended up booking our flights to Palawan already and managed to get cheap ones as well. We'll be having 2 parties that'll be heading over to Site-B, Triton and Ariel. Triton party would include Mic, Nic and Hannah. Ariel party would include yours truly, my girlfriend and her cousin, and we'll fly to Palawan just as planned (Nov 2). I was initially hesitant of this plan as I wanted this one fool proof, and by fool, I meant me. I'm not the best at hiding secrets and making up stories to cover up covert ops. And knowing my girlfriend, she'll probably throw follow up questions to me as she inquires of our plans. But we went along with beta anyway. There was another option and that was to do it in Manila instead so that we'll fly to Palawan all together, but as soon as Mic told us about the venue everything changed.

To cut the story short, we all agreed on the plan and that was when beta officially kicked off. The bait was cast and the subject took a bite. We had a scouting report from our on-shore correspondent that the subject has no idea of the project. She has basically squealed everything that would make this project successful. We have good intel about her dreams and what would make everything special and that's what we're all gunning for. Our current goal is to keep everything in the dark until D-Day.

So far here's the cast.

Triton:
1. Mic
2. Nic
3. Hannah

Ariel
1. Marco
2. Jam
3. Chinx

Flounder (unconfirmed cast)
1. Jayrod
2. Joyce
3. Garie

D-Day is set at 11/3 with the date significance of 11 + 3 = 14 (the day of our anniversary). This will basically give us ample time to setup. We all need to play our roles well so that the project will end up well.

The plan was drawn up today as we got the blueprints of Site-B. This is where we got to find out the site of the payload and the containment area for the subject. We'll have to draw up assignments for everyone on the 3rd of November to keep the subject away from ground zero.

Initial ideas would have to play a movie, an open bag of chips and drama from Chinx. Mic and Hannah would initially join them as me and Nico would have our own "bro-time" so that we'll isolate ourselves from the subject. Mic and Hannah from Triton will have to then excuse themselves as they'll start preparing for some table setup for the dinner. Chinx will have to make up some drama to keep the subject in the holding room. at 0:00 hours, we'll have to do things simultaneously. Chinx will receive a text that they'll have to start prepping for dinner. We have to ensure that Jam would take the shower first before Chinx does. By then everything has to be set. The reference items (which we still have draw up, but some are already identified and will be written in detail after) should be placed along the staircase and would give the message to the subject that somethings up. Ground Zero would have to be decorated and setup for go time.

I'm already feeling anxious and nervous as we drew up the plan earlier. My eyes are starting to get glassy at the time this blog is being written. Slowly, I can see my dreams are becoming more real. It's just sinking in, on D-Day... in 74 days, I'll be asking the love of my life to marry me.

Details:

1. Nico has to place the eyes so that we'll get the event recorded. I'll have to get myself interviewed during the time that we're away from the subject.

2. Hannah and Mic to place the items up as drawn

3. Chinx to ensure that the subject is held properly in the holding area.

the Reference Items would be 14 items that would reference Disney.

Some items that we've identified.

1. Wall-E as the ring bearer
2. So Close (from enchanted) as the soundtrack
3. Aladdin to quote "Do You Trust Me"
4. Beauty and the Beast to quote "Something There"
5. Lion King to quote "Circle of Life"

So that's what we have so far. Next group planning was set to the 27th. This is where we'll discuss the materials needed. By then I need to have my references complete so that we'll know what we need to do by then.

For now that's all we have.

For Jam: I love you so much that I had to keep everything hidden from you :)
